Since 1996, the Subway family throughout our state has been awarding “Subway Scholarships” to sandwich artists in North Carolina through the Peter S. Slomianyj Scholarship Fund. The fund helps pay the rising cost of books and tuition for Subway employees seeking a higher education. The success of the scholarship fund is providing a bright future for Subway employees and their children.

Subway is the largest fast food restaurant chain in North Carolina with more than 750 stores throughout the state. All employees of North Carolina Subway Restaurants, and their children, who have worked one full year or 1,000 hours are eligible to apply for a scholarship from Subway.

The North Carolina Subway Group has awarded 47 individual scholarships since the fund was established in 1995. Last year's golf tournament enabled Subway to award four different scholarships during the year. Subway hopes that this year's event will be even better, helping us to raise $50,000 and award more scholarships than ever before. Your support of this most worthy cause is greatly appreciated.
